My bed is probably the best thing EVER

OH my God.

I am SOOO glad to be home. Even with the crazies upstairs making noise and dropping shit.

Lying in bed, hacking the web, getting to stretch out. woo!

The week in EC was good. I had a good time. Played some golf and actually played a decent game on Tuesday and shot a 45 on a par 3, 9 hole course. That was really amazing for me. Played some good golf that day. However, Thursday was not as good. Shot a 58 on a 9 hole par 30. Not very good. It was SO hot and I was SO sick and tired. Even Nims was exhausted when we were finished, but he shot a 36 in his round.

No water plus 95 degrees plus burning hot sun equals no good.

The show went well. There were some scary, crazy spots on occasion AND today, for the final show, Mrs. Potts lost her voice, so she talked her songs, except where they lip-synced (is that a word?) for Beauty and the Beast (you know, the title song?), BUT the lady that sang jacked the words and a couple rhythms. I could have sang that song blind-folded and would have completed it a little better. I don't know how you DON'T know that song by heart. Goodness gracious.

Well, the trip to Ohio went kaput this week. After careful consultation with Dr. Gilliland Jr. himself, we came to the conclusion that this week/weekend was probably just not that great. Mostly, I came to that conclusion after talking with him and hearing him sound like he hadn't slept in days. You know, that hoarse, slightly delirious sound?

Plus, my husband is happy that he will get to see me, because he hasn't seen me in almost a week and a half. So, Adam and I think that we are just going to leave the 9th and stay for a couple days. I think that it will work out and if it doesn't, maybe we will just go out there anyway, and let the chips fall as they may. Neither of my boys called me back tonight, so I'm going to have to tell my boss that I need those days of next week instead and hope that it's okay.

Not looking forward to work tomorrow. It will probably be really busy tomorrow. Last day of the month...ugh. We'll see what happens. I KNOW that I will be tired.

I'm also fairly certain that Mitchell had trouble figuring out who I was when I got back. He seems to have figured it out now, but he was really confused when I walked in tonight.

The biggest news of the week and my biggest accomplishment for the week was this: I FINISHED SEASON TWO OF BATTLESTAR GALACTICA! And all that I have to say is the following two things: HOLY FUCKING HELL and I can't WAIT for Season 3 to start. So excited. I wish that I could participate in person with Nims schedule of re-watching the entire series "so-far" before the new season starts, but I don't think that I'll be able to do that. too bad. But, H-man: You should probably finish the season before you start school again, because it's incredible!

Okay, nerd-time over. And bedtime for me. good night!

Witty title for weekly post

I'm too tired to try to think up something creative for my title this week.

Jake got a cold from someone at his work, and managed to give it to me in three days. Which is kind of weird, because, in general, we don't share colds and things.

So, I got sick the night that I got up here to EC for the show. Sore throat for 2 days and now my nose is stuffed up and I have a cough. But, I always get a cough with every sickness, pretty much no matter what.

The show is good. It's a very interesting book and the time flies by fairly quickly, which is great. There's no HUGE chunks of dialogue where you just sit and stare at your music. I'm glad that I came up to play for it. Very glad. It's been a good time. Nims decided to quit work the first full day I was here, so we've been hanging out. Which is totally okay to me.

Played golf at the ole Par 3 yesterday. Shot a 45. Which I felt was pretty good. More importantly, I actually hit some decent shots and I only whiffed 3-4 shots, instead of the usual 10-12. I'm a little sunburnt, was I was trying to eliminate that stupid shirt tan that I had, so I'm okay with that anyway.

I have to run a bunch of errands today. I need to try to find a sweet vest for tonight -- It's "See My Vest" night for the pit. Also have to try to get a duplicate copy of my marriage license. Well, I should probably get going on that.

Adam and I decided after careful consideration that we are just going to hightail it to Ohio on Tuesday and get there late at night (well, 9 or 10) and hang out Wednesday and Thursday. The guys are having to play at another park WAAAAY down in Cinncinati over the weekend, which sucks, but at least we get to go hang out for a couple of days. Seems worth it to me. Then, when they leave, we'll probably just head back on Friday. It's a much shorter trip, but that's okay.

Well, anyway, that's been life so far. Nothing big to report.

So, the answer is NO, they don't EVER shut up

So, last night, the children who live upstairs were very quiet all day pretty much. I don't mind the thumping while walking around, but ALL of a sudden at 11pm, right when we tried to go to bed, they started RUNNING back and forth in their bedroom and apartment (which is right above our bedroom) for almost 45 minutes.

Finally, Jake got SO pissed off that he jumped up and punched the ceiling with his fist four times. I never heard two kids jump into their bed so fast. I think that the parents finally got up then and made them go to sleep.

So, then I was reading our lease today about seeing if there was a charge to move to a different apartment and APPARENTLY, part of the rules of living in the apartments include parents controlling their children AND not making noise and disruption when it may disturb others.

Long story short: If there's a ton of noise tonight, the ceiling is getting punched sooner AND I will be filing a complaint with the management tomorrow morning.

In other news, I am fairly certain that the other bookkeeper that I work with at the real estate company is going to be let go/dismissed in the near future. I won't go into detail here, but it seems that it is a fairly certain possibility. So, that will be interesting.

Camping this weekend. For two days. Kristine is getting dropped off here from her mom's house -- they are helping her mom clear some stuff out of her house. Then, off to EC for the week. I'm looking forward to that. I'll miss Jake, but I'll really be "home" (to quote Maria H.: It's like, ah! We're home...or something like that)

I'll be rollerblading that bike trail everyday in my continuing effort to get in shape. Practice for the GBSO audition...which I am planning on taking, I believe. Just hang out in general. Try not to eat badly.

My next post will be from beautiful EC, I'm sure.

bye bye

Will the people upstairs EVER shut the fuck up?

They are stomping around from 5am until 12midnight during the week and last night, I heard someone walking (stomping) around up there at 1:30am. Plus, Mitchell is being a jerk every night, so I don't sleep much.

grrrr....

Went for a bike ride early this morning and almost threw up. I forgot to eat before I went and almost puked from being hot and starving. But, I drank a lot of water and had a peach when I got back, so it turned out okay. But, it was really hard...
I'm going to go out again tomorrow morning earlier, because it's supposed to be as hot tomorrow if not hotter.

Jake is to GB for the night and is fishing tomorrow with his dad and possibly mom. So, I'm going over to my parents to hang out with my mom and eat a little Chinese food. Then, I'll probably come back and try to clean up a bit more.

Nothing new to report otherwise. One more week and then I will be up in EC and then Adam and I are off to Ohio the week after that.

Then, I will be going back to work like a normal person again (you know, full time)

I'll miss having time in the afternoon to hang out and relax. Oh well. Such is the price of having to pay the bills.

A good weekend

Well, the weekend was totally awesome, despite the "no camping" that took place.

Drove up to GB on Friday afternoon and went out to dinner with the Heyer clan, sans Brookie. The restaurant was very neat and the food was excellent. I had pork tenderloin, with cinnamon apples and potato pancakes. Yummy.

Saturday, hung out outside in the AM, picked pea pods, and cherries from the cherry tree!, and just sat around a bit. Then, drove to De Pere, so Jake and Josh could spend their birthday presents. So, we are now the proud owners of a double burner propane camping stove and Jake has a new fishing reel. I also bought a new nalgene while there, because I left the old pink one in the back seat of the car for 2 MONTHS with alcohol in it. No, seriously. Two months. The last weekend I was in EC alone was the last time I drank anything out of it. It still had the two straws I used. gross. So, the new one is ruby red, with a white top ( GO SAI! )

Then, drove to Josh and Kristine's apartment (which is where I am blogging from) and hung out and then went to "Dan-stock" at H-man's parents place, which was only 15-20 minutes away. It was a good time. Did you know that his dad went to UWEC and he and his friends have really pretty much the same stories as us? SWEET!

Watched a little Good Eats on DVD and went to bed. Also, forgot my pillow and lappy at the in-laws house, so we have to go back for that. oops.

Anyway, driving home today, so we can go to SUMMERFEST!!! Woot. I need my summerfest, even if it's the final day. Doesn't matter. Food and beer would cap off the totally sweet weekend.

Road trip plans are looking good. Just me and Adam. Should be totally sweet. I'm looking forward to it.

Until later.... XO

Frustration'd'd'd'd

I get SO frustrated by things in life sometimes.

I guess that's all I have to say. I don't really want to go into detail.

I can't stand people who have to hide who they are and what they want and don't just act like themselves. Maybe that makes me a huge fucking bitch, but, you're never NOT going to know where you stand with me.

Unless you're a really confusing person and I'm putting in more effort to solving the puzzle.

I mean, I'm not going to be, like, I fucking hate you to your face, but if you're doing something stupid, I'm probably going to call you out on it. Or just get really pissed.

Okay, bitching over. I guess that I shouldn't complain too much. Things aren't that bad.

I got the bedroom more picked up and moved around today. That was good.

The diet continues...The 4th of July really screwed me over. And Qdoba. glllll....

For Yakob

Actual conversation that JUST took place in the apartment:

Jake (with psychotic look on face):

Stares...

"Get me a soda."

Angie:

"No! Get your own soda!....

Pauses

(in Heyer voice)

"Fuck you, get your own soda."

Happy Day off...I mean, 4th of July!

Weekend'd'd'd

So....

Went camping for a night with Josh, Kristine and Jake's parents, aka, the "in-laws", aka Jack and Betsy. We were camping up at Point Beach in Two Rivers, which, if you ever the chance, is really nice, except that it got really hot the day we went up (Saturday), so the alewives all croaked and proceeded to wash up on shore -- which is really yucky. And it was really wavey on the lake besides. And chilly.

Then, Saturday night, there was a severe thunderstorm warning and a storm came up from Lake Winnebago north and was sitting just to the south of where we were. So, it was a brief down pour, some wind and a lot of lightening. (I just spell checked that word and it says it's correct, but for some reason, it looks wrong) We had gone up to the shelter, just in case it was really really windy and branches fell or wind knocked stuff over. It all passed to the south (Manitowoc got hit pretty good) and we went back to camp and went to sleep.

Sunday -- wake up, breakfast, sit around a bit. Then we walked the dog down to the beach, where there was still dead fish everywhere. Gross. And the flies were really biting badly on the beach too. Blah. Went back, sat around and cooled off, took a nap in the camper, while the guys went on a bike ride. Went back down to the beach and tried to go in the lake, which was like 50 degrees. The water was so cold that it hurt to stand in it. It was freezing. I couldn't go in that far, but everyone else pretty much went in most or all of the way, just to cool off.

Then, at 2ish we went into town for ice cream, which was just Cedar Crest, but was really good none-the-less. Then, Jake and I came back, because we both have to work today! grrrrr.....

And, Jake has to bring doughnuts, or wants to, because of the birthday tomorrow. So, I get to go with, because he doesn't really know where he's going yet, and he never wants to do things alone, which drives me nuts. Josh isn't like that.

I had to get up this morning because I was starving and I ate oatmeal about 20 minutes ago and I'm starving again. I'm not really sure what the deal is. BUT: I did have a delicious Chicken Queso Burrito from Qdoba last night, so that was pretty delicious. I'm sorry, but Chipotle isn't not on my map anymore. Plus, I have to be different from everyone else. Can't always do what everyone else is doing.

Today: Work 10-2, then going grocery shopping with my mom because my dad has had the flu for the past week. Which is weird for two reasons that I can think of. First, it's frickin' June/July. Who gets the flu in the summer? Second, it's my dad. I'm pretty certain that these are the first sick days that he's taken from work the whole time I've been alive. Now, that might be exaggeration, but I don't think that it is. So, my mom is going to buy food for the 4th. I think that I'm also going to make her get Jake a sweet cooler for his birthday, so we can use it for camping. On sale at Target. If I hadn't already bought him something, I would probably just buy it. Maybe I will and have my mom and dad get something else. hmmmm.....we could use our OWN screen house.

Okay, so stream of consciousness post over.
