So, I've been saying ALL Fall that I was going to make the trek over to Whitewater to watch some of the competition this year. Well....
It's supposed to be cold and rainy at the same time and I just don't do cold and rainy. Blah! Plus, if it is raining, that will push the competition inside and that is usually WAY too loud.
So, I'm being a jerkhole and staying home. But, I will think that you're all awesome and I wish you the best of luck. I'll definitely be thinking of you.
So, the Cards are in the World Series (again). All I can think about is 2004 when they were SO hot going in and were SURE to give the Red Sox a good run and then they folded faster than Superman on laundry day. 4 games and out. But, it was fun watching Maggie freak out and then having to distract her from the game by saying stupid shit.
I did try to call her last night to see which game she's going to, but she didn't answer the phone. Which was strange, because the game had JUST ended, and she's so hard core that she should have been watching.
I'm going for a nice relaxing weekend here, and then kind of a crappy week next week. I start working part time at the front desk for RE and part time in accounting. Which is okay. I figured it was that or I was going to be asked to go back to part time or WORSE, I'd be let go for lack of work. Which is hardly fair because one person shouldn't even be working in there and the other I KNOW they were going to fire before the old boss left. Suddenly, I'm the expendable one. Actually, the one that shouldn't really be in the department is the one that I like -- she can stay. The other one I haven't really liked all that much. They are both a little dumb, but she is MAJORLY dumb. 2+2 is 4. 2+2 is 4.
I also am officially back in graduate school again. I got my packet of information yesterday. I only have to take 2 background courses (as they call them), but I should probably take the finance one again, because I got a C-, but I really didn't learn anything. I'm going to try to set up a meeting with my first advisor to ask him about that and how I go about getting a actual major advisor. The process seems confusing to me -- why don't they just assign me a professor/advisor. Oh well.
I'm really looking forward to this. I do like school and I'm sure in a couple months, I'll be complaining about having to drive down there and what not. But, I am excited. I really think that this will be the thing that can get me where I want to be. And I'm not taking out millions of dollars in student loans. Although I WAS thinking of doing that and then paying off other student loans with that money. Kind of like consolidation. I probably will not however.
I also did NOT get the MSO job (did I write about this?...I don't remember). They EMAILED me. WHAT is up with THAT? That's fine. I really wasn't sure about working there so much anyway. And that is okay. My phone interview, in retrospect, was only okay. It could have gone better. Still waiting to hear back from eFunds about the other job. Although, on my way out, it seemed like that was probably a bust too. More interviews and I'll call you in a couple weeks? Seems like the only reason they interviewed me was cause of my dad and not because they thought that I was qualified, which is more irritating than anything. Don't do me or him favors. If you think that I'm qualified, then interview me. If not, then don't waste my time please.
Anyway, I have to go to work now. Which I really wish I could stay home. Oh well. Last Friday for a while that I have to drive out to Hartland. Starting next week, I work Fridays in Brookfield again. Sweet.
I ALSO turn 27 this upcoming week. Send me gifts and cards please. I actually had a dream last night that Adam Boll and Colin Gilliland were both trying to make me pink birthday cake. Adam was making some elaborate creation with pink frosting and Colin was making fluffy pink cake in square muffin tins and was using, like, tie-dyed frosting.
So, on that note, let's start the weekend!!!! :)

I'm having a harder time today for some reason
I'm not sure why. I think it's because I purposefully stayed home yesterday and Jake was home, so we hung out. And I was not alone. Now, I am alone and able to think by myself.
I try not to feed the wolf, but sometimes it is difficult.
I still have the "if only" thoughts and I wish that I didn't. My only hope is that there is a paralell universe somewhere that does not have the hole that ours does now. Even though I am in a completely different place than I was last year, I still feel like screaming every once and awhile.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that I am where I am now, because, despite being only an hour away from EC last year, I was also extremely depressed and extremely self-destructive.
And so, I sigh, take a deep breath and try to keep moving forward while not forgetting the past.
I got some good working out advice today, and so I think that I will try it.
I asked my parents for an iPod for my birthday. Black, video kind. I asked for the 30GB, but my dad said "The 80GB is only $100 more." I said, "Whatever you think Dad."...hey, I'm not going to tell him what to buy. If he wants to purchase it for me, so be it. I won't turn it down. More Battlestar Galactica and other TV shows and stuff. Hopefully they actually buy it for me. Then I will totally have a sweet time working out. :)
Okay, well, I feel a little better know. So, I go and take some iBuprofen to make the headache go away. I should probably eat too. The little cat is sitting next to me now.
If you will be at the State Competition on Saturday, I'm going to drag Jake down there, so hopefully I will run into some of you down there. I think.

I wish you were here
I feel like I should say more, but I don't want to. It's all been said in my mind.
So, what I will say is this:
I miss you. As morbid as this can sound, I can't wait to see you again.
Happy birthday and keep watching out for us.
I'll keep looking for you in my dreams.
And I will watch out the best that I can.

Le sigh
I really want to go through all my pictures that I have and organize them better, but there are a million other things that I would like to do as well, and so that will have to wait. I'd like to wait until I have an external HD and can get some other stuff off the lappy. Like Battlestar. Which I STILL haven't watched. I'll probably go over to Mom and Dad's on Saturday and try to watch it. I should have gone over there yesterday, but I was too drained.
Plus, my mom kind of gets on my nerves sometimes and I just want to shake her. She's always just so down and negative all the time, which is weird for someone who survived cancer. I think that she just was expecting to lose weight with radiation and chemo but it didn't make her THAT sick and she just ate whatever. So, now, she's pretty much healthly, but now as all the problems that come with being overweight. I really want her to lose the weight, because it's too much for her body I think, but I don't really know how to help her. It so frustrating.
I love my mom, but I want her to care. It's hard to help her when she won't help herself.
I don't remember if I posted this or not (and I think that I did), but I'm pretty sure that I got into grad school (again). I didn't really have a doubt when I scored a 6 out of 6 on the writing section of the test. I'm pretty excited for that. I have an advisor and everything. I'm just waiting for the admission stuff to come in the mail, which will hopefully be next week.
I can't believe that I turn 27 at the end of the month. Life is so fast. I really (and I KNOW I've said this before) want to start a family soon. Like, before I'm 28. Or least in the works before I'm 28. It's so weird, because in the Eau C world, I'm the oldest, but out in the "real" world of working and stuff, I'm one of the youngest people. It's just so strange to me.
Jake apparently is going to be at the State Music Convention at the Beihoff Music booth. So, stop by, say hi and give him some business, so he can stay working for them. He's at the bottom of the totem pole there, you know. :) He's going Wednesday and coming back Thursday night, which, is, OF COURSE, the night before and the day of my birthday. Oh well. It's just another day. But, after last year, I really kind of wanted to do something a little more than just another day, you know? Last year, I worked 6 hours, drove to EC, played for Branden's Memorial Service and then went out to dinner with friends. Johnseb came, which was totally sweet. And she totally yelled at that waiter too. That was amazing. But, it was just strange. My parents didn't really get me anything, which was weird. We went out to dinner in Hudson a lot later after my bday and that was it. Just strange.
Oh well. Brookie is coming home the weekend after my bday, so we will probably go up there to see her and hang out. But, that is a couple weeks away yet.
Well, it's time Grey's anatomy. Bye bye!

Since it's out in the open now...
Well, I've decided that the news is out, mostly because the ultrasound is a facebook picture and Colin is disgusting.
The others are Joe and Lisa Hartson, which WAS probably common knowledge at the time that I posted, but I wasn't positive about it and I didn't want to deprive them of the privilege of telling friends, so I just left it at that. But, since Colin is gross, the Hartson's are also having a baby.
I'm at home today and let me tell you, I wouldn't mind being pregnant myself. At least it would be a 9 month break from all the other BS that comes with being a girl.
Well, I guess that's enough sharing for today. toodles!

First of all...
I just want to say that Colin is a dirty dirty person.
ho-kay, now that's over...
Interview'd with the Milwaukee Symphony today. I think that it went really well, but maybe I shouldn't think that way. It'll get my hopes up. But, I thought things went okay, so here's to hoping that I get an in-person interview. :) Hopefully Monday. I took off Monday (because of the day), so I can go down there, even though it's that day.
Now I'm just going to wait to see if I get either job that I interviewed this past week. And if I don't get either, I'll just resume looking again when those two opportunties pass.
Anyway, just going to the gym to workout for 20 minutes or so and then come back and sit on my butt! :)
Maybe.
For some reason, ALL of the parking spots in the extra lot are taken. I don't know what the hell is going on, but for some reason they are all taken. It's really irritating, to be honest.
Well, that's all. Off to the gym place. bye bye

I am super excited!!!
So, during the long wedding weekend...which I wish was another 5 days...I got a call from the General manager of the MSO (Milwaukee...) to have a phone interview for the Operations Assistant position that I have mentioned previously as the magically disappearing job from the website.
So, I'm pretty excited. I'm just hoping that my cell phone doesn't cut out during said interview. I'm planning on driving to the junction of 83 and I-94 to have a stronger signal. I am pretty excited because that would be the best job ever. Or least would get my foot in the door.
So...what happened with Homecoming? Was Fat-Z Queen? How were the merciless peppers of Quetlzacatenango? Grown in the jungle primevil by inmates of a Guatamalean insane asylum?
So, we stopped at the Hertel's on the way up to GB to drop off G.Nate and I got to ask Maria the information that I have wanted to know since I found out about it: When Kelli Lester was due (April, in case you're wondering). However, while we were there, we found out some more interesting news. Another couple is having a baby, due in May. I won't mention here until it's common knowledge, but it was very funny to find that out while at the Hertel's house.
Anyway, good times at the Hertel residence. I miss everyone! :) I laughed more at Josh and Maria's than I have in many many weeks. So sweet. I miss laughing.

All things G.Nate'd'd'd
G.Nate is here, right meow.
He's the first to try out the new guest bedroom. I think that the cats even left him alone last night -- like, no Mitchell banging on the door. Pretty sweet. I even rushed around and cleaned all the crap away from the door and moved the cat box out of there. I may just leave it in our room. Probably will force me to clean it out every day.
I hope that it was amazing. He's hanging around while we're both at work today and then we're driving him to the Hertel's on our way to GB for the wedding. Wish we could join everyone for Homecoming. I really want to see Fat-Z as the HC Queen.
Job Interview'd'd'd this morning. With eFunds, which is where my dad works. That should be okay, I think. I've decided what I don't like about my job -- it's my boss. She's too much of a control freak. She has to check and double check everything and can't really just trust us to do the job that we're getting paid a significant amount to be there for. How do you justify, in your mind, and in your budget, paying someone $13 an hour to do basic office work that really would be 7 or 8 bucks an hour. Maybe 9 since it's Milwaukee.
Hope the interview goes well. The lady at the MSO emailed me back and said that she would be getting back to me shortly. Probably early to mid next week, I hope. The deadline for resumes is Monday, so maybe by Wednesday she will know who she is interviewing and maybe I'll have an interview next Friday too. I'm just hoping that eFunds doesn't decide super fast that they want me, because I really want to have a genuine shot at the MSO too. Maybe I will say that I need a week to decide if they call me back right away. I don't know. I should have waited to have an interview until next week, but I was so excited that they called me back already. It's funny, because they schedule the interviews at the corporate HQ in Scottsdale, AZ, but the interview is here. I got a call from Arizona while I was working yesterday about an interview.
We'll see. Maybe the job won't be a good fit for me and I'll just have to wait to see what the MSO does anyway.
I just want a job where I actually have to use the skills that I learned in college and grad school (for the little bit that I went) instead of just whatever.
I have no issues with the place that I work, just the boss. And I will probably tell the owner that if/when I leave. I would totally buy my house through there and everything. I just don't like her. alkjsljfaljfljs!
Anyway, I am going to finish my oatmeal, so I'm not hungry during interview and then take a shower! Wish me luck!

Frustration!'d'd'd
Hey, I've that title before!
Today, something happened at my job which made me so angry and frustrated, I almost started crying at work. I had asked for something at work, because I was working on a project and I thought that getting something else from the boss's office would be helpful, but she was out. This was yesterday. Instead of telling me that no one is allowed in her office when she's not here, the office manager (whom I had asked to let me in), said she'd get back to me, never did, told the boss that I had asked to get into her office. Today, she emails all three of us, saying that someone had asked to get in and blah blah blah, no one is allowed in when she's not there. Two minutes later, she sends me an email asking me why I had asked, that she was surprised that "an employee" had asked to get in, and that she hoped it was "a misunderstanding".
What the fuck? I just explained why I had asked, because I thought that if I had the info, things would go smoother than the piecemail bullshit that we've been doing. If I wanted the corporate bullshit, I would have stayed at the bank. I was just so angry about it. Why am I "just an employee"? Why did she not just ask me first and then send out that email? Why can't people just communicate at this place?
I was so mad, I didn't do anything. I just sat there. Then, I started looking for arts jobs again, and lo and behold, there was a job open with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra! It is the Operations Assistant position for Operations/Artistic/Education departments. Seems like it's Maggie's job at the SLSO in MKE. I would be SO excited if I can even get an interview. I know the Artistic Manager for the MSO through SAI, so I'm going to email her and ask her about the job. We haven't met yet, but SAI makes us sisters, so it's cool. :)
It's time to move on from the current job. I don't like my boss and I don't like my prospects. There's no future for me there. But, I would still use them to help us buy a house.
OH! I bet I didn't say that! If we can save up $5000 by April 1, Jake and I are going to try to find a house. My mom and dad said that the money that I give them for the payback of the loan for all my credit card debt, they will give back to us as a gift to buy a house. I'm really hoping that we can find something for $100,000 to $115,000...probably in West Allis or maybe Waukesha if we're lucky.
So, that's exciting for us, anyway.
Nothing much else, I just wanted to vent, even though I will probably vent to Jake when he gets back. Thank goodness that I only work two more days this week. guh.

And we're here....
October. My favorite month juxataposed with a terrible anniversary.
Nothing much to report from here. Things are finally slowing down for Jake at work, so he's a feeling a little less stressed out all the time, which is great. On Friday night, we went out bumming around and went up to the Steinhafels Superstore in Germantown or Menomonee Falls (it's on the edge of the two, I think) and went to look at queen size beds in the Clearance center. And we found a NEW BED!! aldjlkjdflkjads!
So, now we have a pillowtop Simmons Beauty rest, with a Sealy low profile box spring. Which means there's more room for cats AND Mitchell doesn't have to jump up so high to get onto the bed at night. However, they don't really let me sleep that much, so the ear plugs are being purchased and the door will be shut. Stupid Mitchie. Sometimes I think that they just want me to get up and come out to the living room.
But, we finally could use the sheets we got for the wedding and it's really pretty great. We also have a guest bedroom now too, and as soon as I can get the rest of the stuff in the apartment cleaned up, we will be good.
We went and picked up the bed Saturday morning and then we spent time cleaning out the cage downstairs, so there's more room down there now for crap that we don't need in the apartment. Then we moved more stuff out of the apartment down there, which is great, because there's that many fewer boxes up here looking sad and dumb.
So, Jake is happier and I'm happier. It's cleaner up here. There's more to do, but it's good for now.
I've gotten more done on my advent calendar that I've been trying to cross stitch for the past couple months, and that makes me happy.
Well, I have to finish getting ready for work this morning. I wish that I had more to talk about. BUT: I figure, at least you know that I am still here if I just give the play by play of our lives instead of deep thoughts.
bye bye!

Stuff'N'Things
I really like the new Macbook. The keyboard is really sweet.
I'm better. In Green Bay right now, watching stupid shit on TV and waiting for Josh and Jake to come home from the bachelor party they are at. I'm tired and if they aren't home by midnight (it's 11:40 right now), I will just go to bed. We're only here for the night.
Work is still boring, but I may have made some excellent connections through SAI. The VP-membership is the Artistic Manager for the MSO (and she's like 30ish), and so when I was introducing myself in an email, I just said that she worked where I would love to work, because that's the kind of thing that I would say. She said that she got emails all the time of openings in the area, and so I told her that if she sees anything in finance or developement, that I would totally be interested.
I got my scores back from the GMAT people. Scored a 580 out of 800 (which is really pretty good) on the verbal/quantitative sections and a 6 out of 6 on the written portion. So, I hope that's enough for me to get into school there. When they get my scores, my application is complete, so hopefully they can make a quick decision. Cross your fingers.
Back to SAI...anyway, so I'm hoping that that is a good connection there, as well as some of the connections that I have made for playing opportunities. Anything would be excellent right now. Seems like there is no shortage of french horns around these parts.
I felt better that night at home, after I posted. We talked. We always do. I really have been trying not to bottle everything up anymore. I remember where that got me. Well, it didn't end up badly, but it definitely wasn't a happy place. I still have a couple of things from that time period that I'm not too happy with myself about, but they can't be changed now. They are what they are.
We watched 48 Hours on CBS tonight, where they had a story about this girl who went on a cruise ship with her recovering boyfriend and a bunch of friends and ended up dying of a methadone overdose and nobody will say what really happened, even though I thought it was obvious that the girl forgot that her dumbass boyfriend put his methadone in a Nyquill bottle and smuggled it on board and took some of it to sleep. But, there are unanswered questions and such, so...
The more important thing was that this whole thing took place 24 hours before the bus accident. I don't know if it was the full moon and all the planets were aligned that weekend or what, but it seems to me that a LOT of crazy ass fucked up shit went down that weekend, for everyone on the earth. Lots of people making fucking stupid decisions and other people paying the price. It was very strange. Just to hear that it had been a year -- where's the national story on the bus accident? Where's the story about the APPALLING fact that this asshole dumps his truck over, kills a bunch of people and then says that he's innocent of the crimes, because of some other BS. Any person who was human would have settled a long time ago and confessed. I understand that the day in court wouldn't have happened then, but to say that he didn't really do anything (which is what innocent means to me), is just, inhuman. I consider him a monster with no soul and I get a creepy feeling looking at him.
Well, anyway. I don't know why I said all that. He should be on "To Catch A Predator" on Dateline.
Okay, prolly time for bed. It's almost midnight and they aren't back.
Good night!

I think that I watched too much sad TV tonight...
I'm just sad tonight. Well, that and having stupid fights with Jake that don't make sense and don't matter, but I don't think that we will ever shake that first year of marriage. It seems like no matter what I do or say, things will never be right. I can't make a mistake or everything gets all fucked up. So, I will continue to ruin good days because I say one thing wrong.
The month is coming and it's not slowing down. I don't really know what to think. I know that I will enjoy it (birthdays and things and such), but I just...I don't know. And I'm not like, that involved. I guess I'm too empathetic.
I think the lack of sunlight is making me more tired and sadder than usual too. AND AND AND! and, the fact that I really do not like working where I am. I cannot tell you what a difference it makes. When you want to be going somewhere and you don't mind getting up in the morning and going, versus having to drag yourself out of bed and sit there all day and try and entertain yourself is just...ugh. I need more entertainment. Plus, I hate having to drive, even if it's only 20 minutes and out in the country mostly.
I'm really out of things to say at this point. I think that I'll post when I'm in a better mood and actually feel like saying good things about my life.

Rest of Weekend Update
Well, I can tell that I was hung over yesterday in my other post, because it's all disjointed and doesn't really make sense.
I was hung over all day yesterday. Headache all day. Well, to be honest, I had cramps yesterday too, so the ibuprofen was doing double duty and the cramps came first, which is okay with me. Went for lunch at Olive Garden -- which was delicious -- and just hung out all -- went to hear the Marchy march band at the International Fall Festival, and they were really good. some of the trumpet players in the band are arrogant little pricks, but the rest of the kids are just there for a good time, you know. And it sounded great. The DMs looked great too.
Went golfing with Jake and Nims -- didn't do well. I was really tired and couldn't really focus on my proper hitting techniques and shit. So, I was topping a lot of balls.
Just hung out the rest of the night, built a fire and hung out at Hastings. Nims was WASTED!!! and he tapped out about 10:30. I didn't drink, but I did listen to a lot of funny stories and stuff -- like the one about where I was so drunk at Joy of Hastings -- you remember -- and I told Keith's woman that she should never get married ever. And then Keith proposed to her. oops. If he wants, I'll take it back. I was SO depressed and SO drunk. Now I just feel like a jerk. A lot. Oh well. Shit happens.
Went to bed and woke up today. Nims is totally sweet. wow.
Well, I'm out. Until later.

Mid-Weekend Update
So, the memorial service/funeral was short, which was good, but I got sad when Jake's cousin, who is about 17 or 18 was upset, because I remember how I felt when my grandparents passed away at that age...
So, we ate lunch at Ponderosa, which was okay, hung out in Pulaski for a couple hours with Jake's parents and then drove to the EAU C!!!! Got there around 6:45 and sat at Hastings for a while, then drove up to Chippewa Falls for Oktoberfest, where I ate the "Intimidator" a 1/3# hot dog (and don't let anyone tell you differently: I found it first) AND these totally amazing sweet potato fries. Soooooo good!
Drank a little beer up there, drove back to Hastings 3.0, grabbed Nims and walked over to the Beaver Lodge for the Oktoberfest party there. It was fun -- I was having a good time. Too loud and WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE THAT I DIDN'T KNOW!!! But, saw Ben HD, Keith, Josh, Justin, Laura, Mary Heiman, Errin, Hayley, lots of people that I DID know and most importantly: JOHNSEB!!!!!
We hung the rest of the night, after Jakie and Nimbies left to go sleep; Justina drove me back to Hastings at 2:30, when they were on the way to Perkins. I was pretty drunk. I got the spins a little when I laid down.
It was good to see her and talk about stuff and things again. I missed her A LOT!!! The ONE thing that I miss is being so close and being able to be here more. Oh well. Things happen. It was fun just to talk about everything again.
We went to Olive Garden for lunch, which was AMAZING! Linguini with alfredo and soup and stuffed mushrooms! So delicious.
We're hanging out now. It's 2:15. I really want to go golfing, but I just am feeling that we're not going to go. I guess we can go after the marchy march band plays. at like 4:30. I'll just make us go straight away after we are done with watching them. Unless it's totally lame and then whatev.
Anyway, that's all for now...more coming as it happens.

I wish that I knew what triggered these...
For the first time in a very long time, I dreamt about Branden again.
Another weird one where everyone knew that he had passed away, but he was still there in the room anyway. And nobody really minded. Of course. I just remember being so upset that I couldn't talk to him, which most people were doing...someone was talking to him, but now I don't remember who, but it was when I noticed that he was there in the room.
There was a musi hist test going on, which I didn't have to take. Let me tell ya, there was a whole lot of crazy jumping around from situation to situation in this one.
I want to say it was James talking to him, but I'm not totally sure.
But, anyway, I was so upset about it that I knew if I talked to him I would just burst out crying, but Andrea forced me to talk to him by announcing something to the entire room about how much she loved him, I think.
I remember fighting going over to talk to him and being kind of angry with Andrea for focusing the room over on where we were. (GOSH, this sounds selfish)When did go talk to him, all I could do was hug him and I burst out crying. All I could say was "why did it have to be you?" After that, we communicated by writing in red felt tipped marker pen on an old typewriter. I don't know why I couldn't just speak to him, like everyone else was doing, but since I only remember one person talking to him, maybe that person was different. But, I just kept crying. And then I woke up and I still don't know if I was crying in my sleep or I started right after I woke up, but I was really upset.
But, I am convinced that this one was probably my brain scrunching things together over the past couple weeks of people (and animals) that have passed away.
the more I think about it, the more I am convinced that he was sitting next to James and talking with him. at least before I went over by him.
I don't dream about him too often, and I hate dreaming about it in a way that makes me seem more important than I was in his world, but when I do, I have to write it all down or I just feel weird the whole day.
I wasn't planning on another post, but here it is anyway. I guess I just miss him. Or I miss Andrea. or both. or junkyard. Can't wait to see everyone on Friday. :)
On a completely unrelated note to above: Did anyone see those "webisodes" from BSG on scifi.com? I think G.nate wrote about them. They are kind of cool. I love that show. I really wish that we could get cable before they start again. But, I would want to get digital cable to get BBC America too. Maybe I'll just order it and money be damned. You can't take it with you anyway.

So, I can write about these things now...
The Heyers had to have Kirby put down a week ago. It was pretty sad, but he was really sick too, so it's good that he doesn't have to try and exist with non-functioning kidneys. And then, Grandpa B (Jake's grandpa) passed away yesterday, BUT, he was REALLY REALLY sick, so it's good that he doesn't have to suffer anymore as well.
The memorial service is on Friday in the morning and Kristine can't make it, Jack won't be back, Brooke can't fly home in time, and Grandma Judy is in Vietnam right now. For those of you who know anything about the situation, I will give you three guesses as to who set up said service. I understand that her husband just passed away, but half of his family and grandchildren (who knew him MUCH MUCH longer than you!) can't be there, you're being ridiculous and selfish.
Grrrrrr....
It really makes me angry to think about. So I won't.
But, I have to ask off of work on Friday, which I don't think will be a problem, and hopefully, it won't be a problem for Jake. We'll probably need a drink by Friday night. And a Nims.
Just a boring week around here. Actually have been busy at work and been working to my regular time of 6pm. Even stayed until 6:15 tonight, but that was because Marge called me and I talked to her between 5 and 6. I wanted to finish what I was working on. So, at least I've had enough to keep me busy. I think that if the owner buys another office, like he was planning on doing, it will be enough to keep me busy during the day, every day. So, I hope that it happens.
The cats are as annoying as ever. We don't sleep very well early in the AM and I keep having to come out and sleep in the living room, so Jake can keep sleeping. So annoying. I'm not really sure how to keep them from bugging me in the AM. Feeding them really does nothing.
I miss people. I'm glad to be seeing everyone this weekend, even if I am not feeling incredibly social this weekend. It's tough working full time. :)
I DO hope that I get into grad school...I know that it will make me more busy, but my job is not so hard that I can't handle it. I've decided that if I don't make it in UWM, I will try UW-Whitewater. They have a program as well.
Well, I guess that's all for this week. Just a different week this week. I wish that I would have had the gumption to finish cleaning up the back room during the summer, I'll have to do it the weekend of the 22nd. Jake will be in Green Bay for a Bachelor Party that weekend, so I'll be here by my lonesome on Saturday and Sunday prolly. Maybe I'll run away. :)
Until later...

Graduate Management Admissions Test
That's what GMAT stands for. I could never remember the M part.
Done and done. And I mean, done.
Got a 580. Did better than 64% of the people taking the test, supposedly. My writing sections were pretty good too, I think and I even managed to slip a music reference into one of them. Of course, while I was coming back from a break, I looked at the guy the to me's computer and he of course has an essay question about government and the arts...of course! Who wants a question like that? grr...that would have been perf.
I did really well on the math stuff and better that I thought that I would on the verbal. That was just based on my practicing all week. At least it wasn't $250 down the drain. Unless I don't get accepted. And that would suck.
So, I'm stoked. Going to see the craptacular Brewers play at County Stadium...I mean, Miller Park tonight with the mom and pop. and the husband, of course. Just a nice relaxing weekend.
I'm looking forward to football starting again, but probably not to the crappy season the Packers are going to have again this year....oh well. If 600 million people on their team don't get hurt this year, like last, I'm cool.
I NEED FOOD!!!!

NEW PHONE NUMBER!!!
I went over to Sprint today and I got converted to a 414 number. No more LD for the people down here. YEA!!!
Anyway, if you want me to call you so you can save my number, let me know by leaving a message. If you're friends with me in the Stalkerbook, I mean, Facebook, I put it on my profile for my friends. So, there yah go.
I called my speed dials, but beyond that I'm lazy.
Went to dinner with the pop-pop tonight too -- Chili's was amazing. I'm WAY too full. Definitely need to start running or regular exercise. Going back to the pilates every other day should be my goal.
BAH!

What a week!
Saint Louis was great. Maggie has a great house, but I've dubbed her street "Ghetto Way" instead of it's real name because it's down a hill and reminds me a little bit of some of the houses in the Eau C ghetto area. It was nice to see her and Ryan and the kitty! I have pictures. I just have to get them off my camera.
The drive was kind of long. But, it was worth it. I'm hopeful that we can get more time off where we can spend a longer time down there. We'll see. It will probably be difficult. We ate a Maggiano's for dinner on Sunday, which was okay. It wasn't that great, but we did have a $25 GC, so that was good. I'd like to try it with just ordering regular off the menu. Just hung out mostly. Maggie and I spent a couple hours trying to catch a stray cat and her two kittens, but we couldn't do it. The momma cat was really nice and easy to catch, but the kittens were more skiterish.
It was a fun time all around.
Got back to work yesterday and had to work the whole day! GUH! Well, I worked until 4, then packed everything up to move out to Hartland to work out there now. We have SO much more space out there, so I'm very glad that we moved. We each have our own space and I'm going to decorate mine all pretty. With what, I don't know, but I'll do it. The drive is longer, of course, but I'm glad we have a bigger space.
I am working full time now, so that will be good. More money and such.
This Saturday I have to take the GMAT for admissions to UWM for the Accounting Masters program. I also contacted the Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield, because they have a couple positions open there that I am interested in. I just really have no future at Realty Execs now. I can see that. I don't mind working there, but there is really going to be no opportunity for me to advance and like, run the accounting department or something like that. But, it's probably worth it to try to stay until I'm really done with school.
Well, I'm off to start some wash so I have clothes to wear this week and weekend AND to do some more studying for the GMAT. My biggest weakness right now is Math and reasoning like that. Reading and sentences and Verbal I don't have a major problem with, but I do need to just focus for the rest of the week on that. I'm not wasting $250.
Wish me Luck!

Funeral
This was in the Detroit Lakes Newspaper website. I'd link to the story, but you have to register to read it or something. I hadn't heard anything, so I didn't know if anyone was aware or not.
Kelly Heyer, 27, of Detroit Lakes, died Sunday, August 27, 2006 in an airplane crash in Lexington, Ky. Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6 at First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes. The David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes is serving the family.
Thinking of you all...Have a great Labor Day weekend!
Love,
Ange

Finally!
It's sunny! YES!
Finally, finally, finally. So, I'm in a good mood.
Work was as boring as ever. Looking forward to going to STL this weekend. My only problem will be I will want to go longer and I won't want to leave. Le sigh.
I made double chocolate brownies and peanut butter cookies today. I had a hankerin' for pb.
I also found this thing that I immediately knew was fate and that I should probably buy it. But, it's for Yakob. So, I have to send it to him.
I should prolly go check on said cookies.
Just wanted to make a happier post.
ta!

I feel like I should have known...
I had that same damn feeling this morning that I did the morning Branden died.
I even turned on the TV to make sure that nothing major had happened in the area overnight.
It makes me sad. I'm going to start to really have to start listening to that feeling, if I ever have it.
I think that's part of the reason that I could never be alone in the apartment, and this just sort of reinforces that theory for me.
Granted, I was not close to Kelly, but I did know him and he was truly a good person. I am happy to have known him.
God Bless You, Kelly. You will be missed.

Recap of week: Really dislike the job right now. There is not enough for three people to do...I can hardly keep myself busy for 4 hours. But, I know that if they would just get rid of someone, things would be a-ok. I don't really give a crap who is in charge of what or who checks what, to be honest with you, but someone needs to go! And if they don't get their shit together soon, it's probably going to be me. I'm very tired of putting up with all the crap. I hate going because I don't want to hear the latest bullshit. It is RIDICULOUS that people think that just because they are bestest friends that they need to employ their bestest friends so they have a job, no matter if they are qualified for said job or NOT.
Rant over.
So, Jake's at work today and then he's going up to GB for a bachelor night with all of the guys in the wedding (or most of them) that he's in the first weekend in October. I think that he's staying on Sunday, to hang out with Josh too. I was thinking about going to up the Eau C (my dad was going today), but then found out that the BMB started camp today. So, while it would have been fun to be up there, because everyone is back, marching band camp would have made the day boring and then I would have left Sunday. One night just wasn't worth it. And we're going to see Maggie and Ryan next weekend, so that wasn't an option. Brooke's in CA, that's out. James and Colin were another option, but a) they just got there and b) I just saw Colin, so that crossed my mind for a split second before I realized the following:
I should probably just stay home and clean up the apartment.
Not really as much fun, but needs to be done. I have to clean out the cage downstairs because our bikes need to fit in there, and they definitely do NOT right now. I need more storage and more space. Or less stuff.
To be honest, I don't know why I am wasting the time writing all this down, but I feel like. I'm watching this movie on MPTV that is film noir, but I can't tell if it's pre or post "The Maltese Falcon" or "The Big Sleep". The actors sound like Bogart and Bacall, but I don't know who was imitating who at this point. Perhaps if I knew the name of said movie. I'll probably go look it up.
I need some friends down here. Or I need to move to Saint Louis. Either one.

And that was the most that I ever threw up.
Ate WAY WAY too much for dinner. Then went golfing with Jake. I don't know why exactly the golf made me MORE full after walking around and stuff, but I think that it has something to do with not processing all of the water that I chugged down. Needless to say, I only feel like laying around and not thinking. And trying to not throw up. Although...I bet I would feel a LOT better if I DID!
Shot a 38 on a par 27, which made me feel great! I even got two pars and was a millimeter from two birdies on the first hole and the 8th hole. And the 8th was 100 yds, but it was completely up hill. I don't know if I've just golfed more this past summer than before, but I have been doing pilates religiously everyday and I think that may have helped. I want to see what doing pilates 10 days in a row will do for me.
But, if I keep eating too much, it won't do jack shit for me. So, no more overeating. Guh. Plus, I just feel bad. Oh well. Jake and I are going to watch Narnia on the DVD and he will drink coffee, out of his new coffee maker that he bought today. He made $125 on a gig two weeks ago, so I told him that he could buy a new one. Then, he'll stop hinting that he wants a new one, when Christmas is a LONG way off.
I've noticed that many people are heading back to the Eau C this week -- Marching Band camp and the like. I don't know if I feel jealous or not. There are only a handful of people left in EC that I hang with or that I would call a close friend. Many are out and about in the world or we have just fell out of touch. I don't think that I am jealous, but one thing that I did learn (and I'm sure that I've said this already) was that seeing friends, when you are only seeing them a short time and then heading away where you won't see any again, reminds you of what you don't have instead of what you do have. Probably not a good state of mind. You just feel lonely. There's no one my age at work really and same with Jake and I don't know. I'm just not into that party scene unless I'm very comfortable with the goings on at the time (or I'm fucking trashed), so it is useless for me to go to bars in MKE, etc. That, and I'm really ready to be done with this place too...
NOW look where I am. How did I think myself down this road....? GRRRRR!
Anyway, MY POINT is that I miss everyone, but I don't think that I am that sad that it is back to school up there and we're down here. We'll be up there eventually. :)

And it goes...
Fast weekend. Drove up to GB after work on Friday, found out that Jack was fishing all night, stopped at the mall, found a SWEET dress, which actually looked pretty good on me, ate dinner and had a beer. Hung out at Heyer house until 11:00pm, when we had to pick up Betsy at the airport, because she was flying home from LA/Brookie.
Went to bed late (1:30am). Woke up REALLY late on Saturday (10:45), but sat around for some hours and then got ready for wedding. Drove to chapel (which was very small) for short wedding ceremony. Drove to bar for drinks and appetizers. Went to wedding reception, which was VERY small again. The Bar was VERY smoky and it didn't seem like the staff at the reception hall was taking care of the reception very well.
Hung around for a while, did not drink, was very crabby and tired, until Pepsi, then was awake. Left, sat up a big at night and went to bed.
Got up at 8am, sat around until 12noon, went mini-golfing, which I tied/won with Kristine, got EXTREMELY CRABBY/ANGRY at the grocery store, drove home, sat alone/watch the Nextel cup race/Golf on TV, ate dinner, watched more TV, ate cake, went home.
Went to Target, Blockbuster, and Chipotle (for CHIPS AND GUACAMOLE!) and am sitting around typing on this blog.
I'm really just tired and not feeling very well. Have to work tomorrow, but Jake has off. We're going to go golfing over at the nearby golf course tomorrow afternoon and I think that Jake said that he would take me to dinner, which is looking less and less likely right now, because Jake is talking to me about buying a new coffee maker. Guh. Why did I say it was okay? I'm crazy.
Oh well, I'm done for the night. Sorry for the play-by-play. I can't talk about myself all the time and have to do the superfical BS on occasion!

Whoops
Remember when Jake forgot to reset his alarm today and we both woke up at 9? Oops.
Anyway, I think that I may have finally made a decision about going back to school, which I have been going back and forth about. After thinking about who I know that is in graduate school and thinking about the amount of time and effort I would have to put into getting back to where I was in 2004, right after my recital, I probably would not be able to go back for music performance. Which, I think, after have a conversation with Adam on the way home from Ohio, is probably not what I want to do REALLY, I just want to play more than never. So, I contacted some groups in the area to see if they are needed any horns (or trumpets, for Jake). The Music Director of the Menonomee Falls Symphony Orchestra has answered me back and will be getting in touch with me about it, because they need subs for their horn players sometimes. And I think that will be enough. If I really wanted to do performance, I should have made the switch over back in 2002, when I finally decided that music ed could go fuck itself. More so, the School of Ed at UWEC. I'm generally about 2 to 3 years behind my real age. Like I've said, 23 was like the perfect age and everything has been on a downslide since.
I really hoping that having some kids will be another upswing. :) But, not just right now.
ANYWAY, I think that my decision is to go to graduate school, but to go for a Master of Science in Accounting! UW-Downtown has a program where if you have another Bachelor's degree (in another area), you can apply for a program to get a Master's in Accounting, as WELL as get enough hours to sit for the CPA exam. I think that this will help for two reasons: 1. I can probably ask my job if they will reimburse me part of my fees and stuff, because it's related to work and 2. If I finish my studies, there is a chance that I can still work in the financial part of the arts for a company or orchestra.
WEll, I have to go to work. No updates this weekend -- I'm internet free! BYE!

Misc.
I think that I'm going to update once an hour to make up for those who only update every 6 months or so.
So, we're not going to be in EC for Homecoming as planned (which is a bummer) because Jake is in a wedding that weekend in Green Bay, which will be totally awesome. Did you know that you can register for a honeymoon and people can buy you parts of your honeymoon? Tip to all those who are getting married in the future. Even if the future means 10 years. Hey, if you've got all the householdy crap and what-not, what else are you going to register for?
I was sad about Homecoming, just because, but since I am not sure if anything else will be going on related to the one-year anniversary of the world exploding, maybe it's better that we can go another weekend. I DID want to attempt a Branden Atherton Memorial Pub Crawl. Branden always wanted to play golf on Water St. too.
But, I am looking forward to going to the State Marching Band Championships, mostly because we'll be right here and it should be pretty sweet. At least watching the big ones will be cool.
Anyway, that's all for today. Nothing much else.

There are things I can handle and things that I can't
I just don't understand things sometimes. They baffle me. Amaze me. There almost aren't words to describe it.
Torture almost. Why would you DO THAT?!? WHY?!
Makes me feel bad...terrible.
Well, I have to go to work, but I am going to ponder this, even though I know that I will NEVER have an answer for it. It's entirely to confusing for me to even begin comprehending it.

Post Secret
So, I got this link from another friend's blog, and it's on my side links under "Share a Secret".
It's an art project where people can anyonymously mail in postcards sharing a secret to the readers of said blog. While perusing said site today, I noticed that one of the postcards mailed in had the UWEC Counseling Services address on it -- someone taped their appt. card to an index card which had 2122 Old Library. Not too many schools have addresses that list "Old Library" as a place to go.
I just thought it was interesting.
Some secrets are very serious and make me sad while others are sort of funny and just make you think.
Also makes me wish that no one had to have secrets (wishes, desires, problems, etc.) from each other. But, who really knows if telling the truth is worth the pain that it can cause, especially if you are affecting more than one person.
In my past year spent in RF, I learned that having troubles that you cannot talk to anyone about will only cause you pain and possibly worse. So, don't be afraid to find someone to talk to. Your sounding board may be in the last place that you expect to find it. If they are worth anything to you as a friend, they will listen to you. But, don't keep bottling it up. It's just not worth it.
So, that's all from Tosa-land today. More serious than I like to post on my blog, but I felt like saying it, so there we go.

Colin, Josh, Keith and Justin
are probably the funniest four guys together in the same room that I've ever had the pleasure of hanging out with.
So, this WILL BE an INSANELY long post....you have been warned.
Ohio was, for the most part, terrific. The first day was a little slow for me, because the guys were at the park at like 8am and never came back that day, but I still woke up at 9:30am. Adam was sleeping like a rock, so I didn't wake him up. We drove a lot the day before. At 6am, Josh saw that I was awake in the living room and he said, "Angie's awake" to which I replied, "Yeah, I'm waiting for you fuckers to leave."
Hey, it was early and Keith was real loud.
I wandering around the apartment, doing this and that. I ended up reading in Colin's room for a while, hacking the web and what not. Colin sent John (the first trumpet) over to the apartment to get Josh's wallet, Colin's wallet and to drop off Colin's keys for us, which we needed to leave. Well, the idiot doesn't leave the keys and Adam ends up having to drive all the way out there to get them, which is how the rest of the day went, pretty much.
So, then, since it was hot, but I figured that I would be cold at some point, I threw on a tank top and stole Colin's button down shirt (see Facebook photos) and wore that downtown. It was actually a pretty nice shirt and I pretty much wanted to steal it permanently. Got downtown, ate a long lunch, because the server was a d-bag and was slow as hell, then found out that the R&R Hall of Fame and the Science Museum BOTH closed at 5:30. As well as everything else. So, we walked around downtown Cleveland, looking for SOMETHING to do, and found...nothing. Abso-fucking-lutely nothing. So, at 7pm, after walking around for an hour or two, we drove back to the apartment, watched Firefly, laid around. Went to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays, which the server was kind of dumb. And by dumb I mean this:
Justin: "We work at Ge-a-ga Lake" (You know, with the Wisconsin 'A')
Server: "Wait! What? You say that funny! Say it again"
Justin repeats himself
Server: "It's Ge-aw-ga Lake. There's a U in that."
Rest of us: Shut up, we're from Wisconsin.
Went back to apartment, and waited for Ben and Randy to get to the apartment. There was some poker, TV, and just general sitting around. Ben and Randy finally got there...which was sometime after midnight I think. We all sat around and Randy went and woke up Colin (who had gone to bed by then) and they all sat around BSing. I attempted to follow what they were saying, but there was too much jazz in there for me, so I just zoned out. Everyone pretty much went to bed, but Ben decided that he wanted to sleep out on the porch, so he did. I pretty much could not sleep the whole night, and kept on waking up.
Finally, I was asleep for the night and the morning and all of a sudden, I snapped awake to see Colin walking into the kitchen. It was like I was a motion detector or something. He left for the park to baby-sit the high schoolers and ended up coming back up for the iPod. He left again and Ben woke up when he was leaving and yelled for the porch at him. We got up, went to breakfast, where the crazy coffee giver waitress lady yelled "you're welcome" at Ben and Randy at one point, came back to the apartment and drove to the park. Justin drove Adam and I over there and dropped us off and then met us in the park. We found everyone else (being Ben, Randy, Josh and Keith) and we went on a ride (I don't remember the name). I was absolutely terrified and so was Adam, when his buckle on his harnness was undone going up the hill to the big drop. Colin was going to meet us, but ended up not being able to (sometimes being in charge sucks), so they got Dominated and then we wandered over to a "Pussy roller-coaster" which actually ended up being just as scarifying as the first, but I had to hold onto my sunglasses, so I was a little panicked on that one. Josh and Keith took off at this point. Then, we went on X-Flight, which you get really securely strapped into and then you go out laying on your back. I was a little aprehensive and almost decided to say that I was going to wait for Colin to go at night, but I figured I would really puss out then, so I got on. We rode up and went over the drop and it flips you over so it seems like you are FLYING! It was great! It was probably my favorite one. I even had the crazy laughter that I get when I am a little more comfortable with something that is still scaring the crap out of me. Then, all of a sudden, we go into a corkscrew turn at the end and I just about lose my breakfast. You know, sweaty, can't see straight, stomach turning. I was out of sorts for about two hours afterward. But, Ben, Adam and I went on this really lame water ride, which Adam got soaked on.
After that, it was time for the Boogie Down Band. It was really funny and entertaining. I suppose it was more so, because we knew the guys, but I really enjoyed it, each time. Ben and I sat right in the middle of the action for a while and Randy and Adam joined in. They do have some dance moves, although I will say that Justin was probably the most enthusiastic dancer. (Sorry Colin) It was just really a lot of fun. Adam and I both started laughing hysterically when they played the opening to Fanfare for the Common Man...I think that was it. I get that one and Zarathustra confused a lot. But, they played James Brown, some Ohio State stuff and other stuff that I don't remember right now. Josh shook his butt a lot and there was lots of pelvic thrusting to the delight and horror of the occassional 10 year old standing nearby.
We hung out a little bit after the first show and then wandered over the bridge to listen to the fake movie music. My favorite was the combination of Take 5 and Stolen Moments in 5. Walked around the water park and was going into the lazy river when I noticed we had to get back to hang out with the boys on their break. Watched the magic show, I tried to not be sunburned and tired. Based on Colin's reactions to me on occasion, I don't think that I was having a lot of success hiding my exhaustion. I agreed to get Dominated with Colin later that night and Adam and I headed out again for the lazy river, which I went in with all my clothes on (BIG MISTAKE!). We wandered back after going around three times and I was having a LOT of trouble drying off. So, I stood under the air dryer in the bathroom and hot dryed a little bit. Went out and saw the 7:15 show, hung around and tried to win prizes, decided before the 7:15 show that we were FREEZING! and I bought a bright orange Geauga Lake sweatshirt and Adam a bright yellow jacket. I felt more warm. Watched the 8:15 show, where Keith sat on Adam and freaked out some of the people around us. Waited for them to come out and Colin and Justin tried to convince us to go on the Dominator, but Adam didn't want to and I was too cold with my wet pants, so I started swearing, which easily ended the debate, but probably solidified my reputation for being a complete bitch. Oh, Colin was meeting us to take us back and we're waiting and waiting. Finally I call:
Me: "Hey, did you forget about us?"
Colin: (in a midly irritated and frustrated voice) "No, I can't go any farther, and Keith is sitting on the hood of car."
Me: "Did you call us?"
Colin: (same tone)"Yeah, twice, and you didn't answer."
Me: "Okay, well, we'll find you"
Little did we know, we though he meant the outside loop and he meant the parking lot. Oops. Oh, and I've decided that his phone and my phone just don't get along.
Went through the drive through liquor store, ate pizza, watched Serenity (which was a mistake, I think), drank, and hung around. Colin went to bed and we hung out more. Then, Jake calls me, freaking out, which causes me to freak out and I hide in the kitchen and Josh and Keith's bedroom. Then after that is all over, I go use the bathroom in Colin and Justin's room and almost have a crying breakdown in the bathroom. I was seriously considering waking Colin up, just to get a hug and maybe feel better about everything, but Justin came in, so I just went and cried myself to sleep instead. It was not a pleasant night.
Saturday am: Colin never sets alarm. Keith wakes Colin up at 9:10 "Did Colin leave?" Me: "I haven't seen him", then, *SLAP* "Why didn't my alarm go off!?!?!" I know why, because I've been up all morning -- he never set it. He rushes out of apartment and the guys slowly get up and head out. Adam and I got to the downtown again to go to stuff for real this time, are highly disappointed, and head back to the apartment. I grab laundry and we go to laundry mat, so I mostly wash Colin's shirt that I borrowed and some clothes that I wanted to wear home the next day. That took a couple hours of running around -- to Subway, to Target and back to laundry mat. But, got finished. Then, we had a siesta and Firefly at the apartment until the guys were home. Well, I drank in an attempted to be loaded when they all came back, but there just wasn't enough beer. Waited until 10, went to Applebee's, hung out there. Back to apartment, and stayed up way too late, but had funny conversations about different stuff. I stole Colin's phone, got Josh to sit on him (which was gross), and flashed him in the dark.
Sunday am: I wake up, shower and pack. Keith gets up, wakes up Colin. I got stare at him from the doorway until he really gets up and I talk to Josh for a while. Colin comes out and we talk a bit until he has to leave and we say good bye. We'll see each other again, I'm sure, but time and place cannot be decided on now. Plans made with one Colin Gilliland, Esq. need to be fluid until about 24 hours in advance. Said good-bye to the other guys (well, except Justin, who didn't wake up)and they mostly wanted to know if we were coming up to EC to visit. Probably Homecoming is my guess. Not before then.
Adam and I hit the road, make a stop here and there and stop over in Chicago to see the King Tut exhibit, which is missing one vital part of the collection: KING TUT! No mask, no mummy, no nothing. Boo. The Field Museum is really cool, and I would like to go down there again and visit the Aquarium and the Planetarium too. We are back in MKE at 9pm and Adam continues on.
I get home to realize exactly how much I miss everyone and everything in Eau Claire (and points beyond now too). So, now I have spent the past two summers living in two places that I sure as hell never want to live in again. I'm really hoping that Jake could find something else that is a better fit for him. Full time repair, not part time repair plus sales whenever we feel like scheduling you. No WEEKENDS! Something in Green Bay, or maybe elsewhere.
I'm not too in love with my job anymore, because of a recent management change. I'm feeling rather unsettled about it all. I'm just never satisfied. I don't think that I will ever be.
So, I apologize that it was so long and for the play by play type entry, but I had a lot of fun and wanted to share it with the world. :)
So, I started this Sunday night and am now finished Monday at 5pm. I did work in there too, you know.
Wedding of Jake and Josh's cousin this weekend. I should go find a new outfit I think. Or not. I'll just wear an old dress. Maybe. I did lose some side fat, so maybe that's a good thing. Or whatev. :)
Later, alligators!

Welcome to Ohio: The most BORING state in the 50 Nifty United States
Some observations made on the approx. 10 hour trip out to Streetsboro:
1. Downtown Chicago sucks for driving, but you sure do get through the state fast.
2. Indiana, while has a lovely national lakeshore just outside of Gary, is completely construction. Illinois is still the bastard sister of Indiana despite this. Adam and I did spend an hour hanging out in Lake Michigan and the water and beach was beautiful. If you ever have the chance, going to the West Beach in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is pretty sweet.
3. The drive on I-80 through Ohio is the most BORING piece of crap drive in the world. Again, Indiana has another bastard sister: Ohio. The only drive that I have had that is this boring is the hour drive from Milwaukee to Fond Du Lac...but that's only an hour. The only thing that we saw that told us that we passed Toledo was the Toledo Manufacting facility that we passed.
That pretty much sums up the drive.
We get to Streetsboro at 7pm, try to drive around to find a golf course to kill time, end up WAY out in bum fuck nowhere and drive back. Then we drive to try to find the park, so it's easier when we actually go, and figure that out. Then, we sit and wait for the boys to be done and get back to the apartment. Going backwards for a second, Colin calls Adam at 7:40, completely spazzing out, tells Adam a bunch of stuff with no explanation, and then has to go. They had a softball game after work, and what was failed to be mentioned about that was: It didn't start until 11:30pm. Crazy Colio.
Anyway, we hung out, saw the really really nice apartment, with no furniture. But, internet, which is how I am writing now. Colin's new lappy is pretty sweet, BTW. :)
Went and watched them play softball, which was hilarious, because they can't go any farther in the game, so they just fuck around the whole time. The other team didn't know what hit them for 3 innings. I have some funny pictures, but probably not enough. It was fun to heckle them, especially whoever was playing shortstop. Which was usually Justin.
Game was done at 1am, came back to apartment, and went to sleep. The new air mattress is really nice. Justin blew it up for me too. So, I didn't have to do shit. The four boys had to be up at 5:30am to go to the park and play for a TV show in Cleveland. So, they all left, I went back to sleep and here I am.
I think that I'll probably post in parts, because it will get too long otherwise. Ben Herpaderp and Randy are getting here today sometime on their way to NY and we are hanging out tonight and are going to go to the park with them tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it. Mostly because I'm the only girl. If you don't count Colin.

Okay, so, going out of town...
I'll probably be off the interweb while in Ohio, unless they have internet (which they must...) or I steal internet somewhere.
Anyway, I am done working this week, but I don't know how I feel about 8 hours in the car.
Well, best get packing my shit.

Busiest week EVER to come
So....
Had a really fun day today. Played 18 holes of golf with my Dad on a Par 3 and didn't shoot too badly. Actually made par a couple of holes, which was great! Shot a 93 on a 55 overall, but that's okay. I played well and I had fun. Just need more practice and a bit more consistency shooting. That and some more power. :)
Met my parents downtown at this place called Coast, which was close to the art museum and I THINK it's where my senior prom was held in 1998...geez. It was really fun and we had a bunch of drinks and appetizers, and they were delicious. It was a huge bill...I can't wait for the day when we have that much money to blow on one day. :)
Then came back to my parents house and sat around and then came home. Which is where I am now.
So, the week ahead is the following:
Tomorrow: State Fair in the AM and maybe golf in the pm
Monday: Josh and Kristine are coming down, so we can go to the Fair, again! Oh, and I work, of course. I'll probably only stay until 2 that day, just to make things easy. Unless they really want me to stay until 4.
Tuesday: Adam Boll is coming down to hang out, so we can go to Ohio.
Wednesday: Leave for Ohio until Sunday
I'm looking forward to going out there for a few days. Get away from this place again. Makes me wish that I had more friends around here though. No one is here. I don't mind my parents, but I get SO tired after a while. Social circles are much more fun. I wish that everyone was here, OR, that I lived in St. Louis, so, AT LEAST, I could hang out with Maggie a couple times a week, or once a week or whatever.
I just get that let down from seeing everyone after it's over, which I KNOW is going to happen after Ohio, just because it will. I had a let down after EC and I REALLY wanted to be home when that was over.
I'm just hoping that Ohio doesn't completely suck ass. Which, at this point, might go either way, you know? Depends on the mood that I am in, but I am sincerely hoping that everything ends up okay. I just want to come back with lots of sweet pictures. That would be excellent. :)
Okay, I'm outie. It's bed time. Got to be up early for the fair!
Love and hugs!

Three cheers for Crazy Shit Week
I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the moon cycles or something like that.
Anyway, the first two days back to work for me where tiring because it was the end of the month and I had a lot of closings and comission checks to cut for people. Not a big surprise and there weren't as many as I thought that there might be. But, there were enough to be going on with still.
Today I get to work and the boss tells me that she has found a better job closer to her home, so she will be leaving in a week and a half to start that job. I am very happy for her, because her commute just had to suck a LOT. She was in Wind Lake, which is not an easy commute. So, she'll be done the Friday that I will be in Ohio.
So, there is a new girl starting to be trained in the department, which I don't think that we need, BECAUSE the two of us have trouble finding enough to do now. But, we'll see what happens. The business manager for the company is basically taking my boss's spot, which is good, because she was a CPA and now they will have to farm that work out.
However, the powers that be have decided to move the accounting department out to Hartland, which means that I get to start communting again. However, two things are very cool about this: 1. I will get another raise when I start full time in September to help out with the gas money and for the excellent, amazing worker that I am. :) 2. If I really really can't handle the commute anymore (which I don't think will happen, because I would actually like to move further out that way when we try to buy a house. We could live in Waukesha. But, only if I'm in the Waukesha West part of the school district. I hated North for Marching Band AND South is...meh.), they will move me back to the Brookfield office to continue working out of there.
But, I think that the commute will be SO easy that I will not worry about it too much. Just the gas money expenses make me nervous again. That's what got us into trouble last time.
Anyway, just wanted to share. YEAH!

My bed is probably the best thing EVER
OH my God.
I am SOOO glad to be home. Even with the crazies upstairs making noise and dropping shit.
Lying in bed, hacking the web, getting to stretch out. woo!
The week in EC was good. I had a good time. Played some golf and actually played a decent game on Tuesday and shot a 45 on a par 3, 9 hole course. That was really amazing for me. Played some good golf that day. However, Thursday was not as good. Shot a 58 on a 9 hole par 30. Not very good. It was SO hot and I was SO sick and tired. Even Nims was exhausted when we were finished, but he shot a 36 in his round.
No water plus 95 degrees plus burning hot sun equals no good.
The show went well. There were some scary, crazy spots on occasion AND today, for the final show, Mrs. Potts lost her voice, so she talked her songs, except where they lip-synced (is that a word?) for Beauty and the Beast (you know, the title song?), BUT the lady that sang jacked the words and a couple rhythms. I could have sang that song blind-folded and would have completed it a little better. I don't know how you DON'T know that song by heart. Goodness gracious.
Well, the trip to Ohio went kaput this week. After careful consultation with Dr. Gilliland Jr. himself, we came to the conclusion that this week/weekend was probably just not that great. Mostly, I came to that conclusion after talking with him and hearing him sound like he hadn't slept in days. You know, that hoarse, slightly delirious sound?
Plus, my husband is happy that he will get to see me, because he hasn't seen me in almost a week and a half. So, Adam and I think that we are just going to leave the 9th and stay for a couple days. I think that it will work out and if it doesn't, maybe we will just go out there anyway, and let the chips fall as they may. Neither of my boys called me back tonight, so I'm going to have to tell my boss that I need those days of next week instead and hope that it's okay.
Not looking forward to work tomorrow. It will probably be really busy tomorrow. Last day of the month...ugh. We'll see what happens. I KNOW that I will be tired.
I'm also fairly certain that Mitchell had trouble figuring out who I was when I got back. He seems to have figured it out now, but he was really confused when I walked in tonight.
The biggest news of the week and my biggest accomplishment for the week was this: I FINISHED SEASON TWO OF BATTLESTAR GALACTICA! And all that I have to say is the following two things: HOLY FUCKING HELL and I can't WAIT for Season 3 to start. So excited. I wish that I could participate in person with Nims schedule of re-watching the entire series "so-far" before the new season starts, but I don't think that I'll be able to do that. too bad. But, H-man: You should probably finish the season before you start school again, because it's incredible!
Okay, nerd-time over. And bedtime for me. good night!

Witty title for weekly post
I'm too tired to try to think up something creative for my title this week.
Jake got a cold from someone at his work, and managed to give it to me in three days. Which is kind of weird, because, in general, we don't share colds and things.
So, I got sick the night that I got up here to EC for the show. Sore throat for 2 days and now my nose is stuffed up and I have a cough. But, I always get a cough with every sickness, pretty much no matter what.
The show is good. It's a very interesting book and the time flies by fairly quickly, which is great. There's no HUGE chunks of dialogue where you just sit and stare at your music. I'm glad that I came up to play for it. Very glad. It's been a good time. Nims decided to quit work the first full day I was here, so we've been hanging out. Which is totally okay to me.
Played golf at the ole Par 3 yesterday. Shot a 45. Which I felt was pretty good. More importantly, I actually hit some decent shots and I only whiffed 3-4 shots, instead of the usual 10-12. I'm a little sunburnt, was I was trying to eliminate that stupid shirt tan that I had, so I'm okay with that anyway.
I have to run a bunch of errands today. I need to try to find a sweet vest for tonight -- It's "See My Vest" night for the pit. Also have to try to get a duplicate copy of my marriage license. Well, I should probably get going on that.
Adam and I decided after careful consideration that we are just going to hightail it to Ohio on Tuesday and get there late at night (well, 9 or 10) and hang out Wednesday and Thursday. The guys are having to play at another park WAAAAY down in Cinncinati over the weekend, which sucks, but at least we get to go hang out for a couple of days. Seems worth it to me. Then, when they leave, we'll probably just head back on Friday. It's a much shorter trip, but that's okay.
Well, anyway, that's been life so far. Nothing big to report.

So, the answer is NO, they don't EVER shut up
So, last night, the children who live upstairs were very quiet all day pretty much. I don't mind the thumping while walking around, but ALL of a sudden at 11pm, right when we tried to go to bed, they started RUNNING back and forth in their bedroom and apartment (which is right above our bedroom) for almost 45 minutes.
Finally, Jake got SO pissed off that he jumped up and punched the ceiling with his fist four times. I never heard two kids jump into their bed so fast. I think that the parents finally got up then and made them go to sleep.
So, then I was reading our lease today about seeing if there was a charge to move to a different apartment and APPARENTLY, part of the rules of living in the apartments include parents controlling their children AND not making noise and disruption when it may disturb others.
Long story short: If there's a ton of noise tonight, the ceiling is getting punched sooner AND I will be filing a complaint with the management tomorrow morning.
In other news, I am fairly certain that the other bookkeeper that I work with at the real estate company is going to be let go/dismissed in the near future. I won't go into detail here, but it seems that it is a fairly certain possibility. So, that will be interesting.
Camping this weekend. For two days. Kristine is getting dropped off here from her mom's house -- they are helping her mom clear some stuff out of her house. Then, off to EC for the week. I'm looking forward to that. I'll miss Jake, but I'll really be "home" (to quote Maria H.: It's like, ah! We're home...or something like that)
I'll be rollerblading that bike trail everyday in my continuing effort to get in shape. Practice for the GBSO audition...which I am planning on taking, I believe. Just hang out in general. Try not to eat badly.
My next post will be from beautiful EC, I'm sure.
bye bye

Will the people upstairs EVER shut the fuck up?
They are stomping around from 5am until 12midnight during the week and last night, I heard someone walking (stomping) around up there at 1:30am. Plus, Mitchell is being a jerk every night, so I don't sleep much.
grrrr....
Went for a bike ride early this morning and almost threw up. I forgot to eat before I went and almost puked from being hot and starving. But, I drank a lot of water and had a peach when I got back, so it turned out okay. But, it was really hard...
I'm going to go out again tomorrow morning earlier, because it's supposed to be as hot tomorrow if not hotter.
Jake is to GB for the night and is fishing tomorrow with his dad and possibly mom. So, I'm going over to my parents to hang out with my mom and eat a little Chinese food. Then, I'll probably come back and try to clean up a bit more.
Nothing new to report otherwise. One more week and then I will be up in EC and then Adam and I are off to Ohio the week after that.
Then, I will be going back to work like a normal person again (you know, full time)
I'll miss having time in the afternoon to hang out and relax. Oh well. Such is the price of having to pay the bills.

A good weekend
Well, the weekend was totally awesome, despite the "no camping" that took place.
Drove up to GB on Friday afternoon and went out to dinner with the Heyer clan, sans Brookie. The restaurant was very neat and the food was excellent. I had pork tenderloin, with cinnamon apples and potato pancakes. Yummy.
Saturday, hung out outside in the AM, picked pea pods, and cherries from the cherry tree!, and just sat around a bit. Then, drove to De Pere, so Jake and Josh could spend their birthday presents. So, we are now the proud owners of a double burner propane camping stove and Jake has a new fishing reel. I also bought a new nalgene while there, because I left the old pink one in the back seat of the car for 2 MONTHS with alcohol in it. No, seriously. Two months. The last weekend I was in EC alone was the last time I drank anything out of it. It still had the two straws I used. gross. So, the new one is ruby red, with a white top ( GO SAI! )
Then, drove to Josh and Kristine's apartment (which is where I am blogging from) and hung out and then went to "Dan-stock" at H-man's parents place, which was only 15-20 minutes away. It was a good time. Did you know that his dad went to UWEC and he and his friends have really pretty much the same stories as us? SWEET!
Watched a little Good Eats on DVD and went to bed. Also, forgot my pillow and lappy at the in-laws house, so we have to go back for that. oops.
Anyway, driving home today, so we can go to SUMMERFEST!!! Woot. I need my summerfest, even if it's the final day. Doesn't matter. Food and beer would cap off the totally sweet weekend.
Road trip plans are looking good. Just me and Adam. Should be totally sweet. I'm looking forward to it.
Until later.... XO

Frustration'd'd'd'd
I get SO frustrated by things in life sometimes.
I guess that's all I have to say. I don't really want to go into detail.
I can't stand people who have to hide who they are and what they want and don't just act like themselves. Maybe that makes me a huge fucking bitch, but, you're never NOT going to know where you stand with me.
Unless you're a really confusing person and I'm putting in more effort to solving the puzzle.
I mean, I'm not going to be, like, I fucking hate you to your face, but if you're doing something stupid, I'm probably going to call you out on it. Or just get really pissed.
Okay, bitching over. I guess that I shouldn't complain too much. Things aren't that bad.
I got the bedroom more picked up and moved around today. That was good.
The diet continues...The 4th of July really screwed me over. And Qdoba. glllll....

For Yakob
Actual conversation that JUST took place in the apartment:
Jake (with psychotic look on face):
Stares...
"Get me a soda."
Angie:
"No! Get your own soda!....
Pauses
(in Heyer voice)
"Fuck you, get your own soda."
Happy Day off...I mean, 4th of July!

Weekend'd'd'd
So....
Went camping for a night with Josh, Kristine and Jake's parents, aka, the "in-laws", aka Jack and Betsy. We were camping up at Point Beach in Two Rivers, which, if you ever the chance, is really nice, except that it got really hot the day we went up (Saturday), so the alewives all croaked and proceeded to wash up on shore -- which is really yucky. And it was really wavey on the lake besides. And chilly.
Then, Saturday night, there was a severe thunderstorm warning and a storm came up from Lake Winnebago north and was sitting just to the south of where we were. So, it was a brief down pour, some wind and a lot of lightening. (I just spell checked that word and it says it's correct, but for some reason, it looks wrong) We had gone up to the shelter, just in case it was really really windy and branches fell or wind knocked stuff over. It all passed to the south (Manitowoc got hit pretty good) and we went back to camp and went to sleep.
Sunday -- wake up, breakfast, sit around a bit. Then we walked the dog down to the beach, where there was still dead fish everywhere. Gross. And the flies were really biting badly on the beach too. Blah. Went back, sat around and cooled off, took a nap in the camper, while the guys went on a bike ride. Went back down to the beach and tried to go in the lake, which was like 50 degrees. The water was so cold that it hurt to stand in it. It was freezing. I couldn't go in that far, but everyone else pretty much went in most or all of the way, just to cool off.
Then, at 2ish we went into town for ice cream, which was just Cedar Crest, but was really good none-the-less. Then, Jake and I came back, because we both have to work today! grrrrr.....
And, Jake has to bring doughnuts, or wants to, because of the birthday tomorrow. So, I get to go with, because he doesn't really know where he's going yet, and he never wants to do things alone, which drives me nuts. Josh isn't like that.
I had to get up this morning because I was starving and I ate oatmeal about 20 minutes ago and I'm starving again. I'm not really sure what the deal is. BUT: I did have a delicious Chicken Queso Burrito from Qdoba last night, so that was pretty delicious. I'm sorry, but Chipotle isn't not on my map anymore. Plus, I have to be different from everyone else. Can't always do what everyone else is doing.
Today: Work 10-2, then going grocery shopping with my mom because my dad has had the flu for the past week. Which is weird for two reasons that I can think of. First, it's frickin' June/July. Who gets the flu in the summer? Second, it's my dad. I'm pretty certain that these are the first sick days that he's taken from work the whole time I've been alive. Now, that might be exaggeration, but I don't think that it is. So, my mom is going to buy food for the 4th. I think that I'm also going to make her get Jake a sweet cooler for his birthday, so we can use it for camping. On sale at Target. If I hadn't already bought him something, I would probably just buy it. Maybe I will and have my mom and dad get something else. hmmmm.....we could use our OWN screen house.
Okay, so stream of consciousness post over.
