Some observations made on the approx. 10 hour trip out to Streetsboro:
1. Downtown Chicago sucks for driving, but you sure do get through the state fast.
2. Indiana, while has a lovely national lakeshore just outside of Gary, is completely construction. Illinois is still the bastard sister of Indiana despite this. Adam and I did spend an hour hanging out in Lake Michigan and the water and beach was beautiful. If you ever have the chance, going to the West Beach in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is pretty sweet.
3. The drive on I-80 through Ohio is the most BORING piece of crap drive in the world. Again, Indiana has another bastard sister: Ohio. The only drive that I have had that is this boring is the hour drive from Milwaukee to Fond Du Lac...but that's only an hour. The only thing that we saw that told us that we passed Toledo was the Toledo Manufacting facility that we passed.
That pretty much sums up the drive.
We get to Streetsboro at 7pm, try to drive around to find a golf course to kill time, end up WAY out in bum fuck nowhere and drive back. Then we drive to try to find the park, so it's easier when we actually go, and figure that out. Then, we sit and wait for the boys to be done and get back to the apartment. Going backwards for a second, Colin calls Adam at 7:40, completely spazzing out, tells Adam a bunch of stuff with no explanation, and then has to go. They had a softball game after work, and what was failed to be mentioned about that was: It didn't start until 11:30pm. Crazy Colio.
Anyway, we hung out, saw the really really nice apartment, with no furniture. But, internet, which is how I am writing now. Colin's new lappy is pretty sweet, BTW. :)
Went and watched them play softball, which was hilarious, because they can't go any farther in the game, so they just fuck around the whole time. The other team didn't know what hit them for 3 innings. I have some funny pictures, but probably not enough. It was fun to heckle them, especially whoever was playing shortstop. Which was usually Justin.
Game was done at 1am, came back to apartment, and went to sleep. The new air mattress is really nice. Justin blew it up for me too. So, I didn't have to do shit. The four boys had to be up at 5:30am to go to the park and play for a TV show in Cleveland. So, they all left, I went back to sleep and here I am.
I think that I'll probably post in parts, because it will get too long otherwise. Ben Herpaderp and Randy are getting here today sometime on their way to NY and we are hanging out tonight and are going to go to the park with them tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it. Mostly because I'm the only girl. If you don't count Colin.
