So, I'm home again. For those of you not in the "know", I was in the Eau C this weekend.
Went up Friday about 10am, got there right before bandy band. Hung out at Hastings for a bit, went and ate with Yakob at Panera, got a sweet cord for my iPod, so you can hook it up to the red, yellow and white plugs and watch cool stuff on the TV. Hung out with Salwass and Nims (Nim) for the rest of the night. Drank and bottle of wine and just hung out and talked. It was pretty sweet.
Woke up early on Saturday....and by early, I don't mean when I couldn't sleep past 7:30 like last year. I mean, like, 9am. Sat around waiting for people to wake up, went and ate at Red Lobster with Nims and Salwass, which was AMAZING. Then, just sat around. Went over to the House for Adam's Party, which was different -- more a graduation party for family than actual party. I was sort of disappointed, but it was nice to see people.
The thing I discovered this weekend was who I am truly friends with and who I just happen to know and interact with occassionally. I'm not going to say acquaintance. I don't like that word. There were people who saw me and just went, hi. and there there were the people that went HEY!!! I don't expect people to be like super excited all the time to see me, but there were many people that I haven't seen in a very long time that I guess I thought we were a little better friends than that. Oh well. Makes me truly appreciate the ones that appreciate me. I don't live an hour away any more. When I come up there, it's a long haul.
I woke up at 8am this morning, grabbed all my stuff, left a note for the Hastings boys and took off. It was pretty nice. Being tired like that makes the drive go faster because I can drive on auto pilot. Reminds me of High school, when I was so tired driving to school that I hardly remembered the drive most mornings.
Brooke is still here today. Josh and Kristine decided at the last minute not to come, which is irritating because we were invited to Brunch with my godparents and extended-extended family and I didn't worry about trying to make it, because I thought 3 family members were here. Oh well. My aunt called on my way home this morning and wants to get together on Friday for Chritmas. Sounds good to me.
Well, off to watch the Packers and hang out. Whenever Brooke and Jake get back from Beihoff.
