Happy Chritmassss!

So, Friday night began the weekend of Chritmas. Went to my Aunt and Uncle's house in Elm Grove (basically 5 mins away) and hung out. My cousins (who are 10 and almost 8) got some sweet lego stuff from my parents and Jake and I just gave them money. Hey, when you're 8, $20 is sweet. A little less at 10, I guess.

Found out that my 10 year old cousin is a little bit of a pill. I think that he's just too smart. Very sarcastic, but I was that way and so was my oldest cousin Bryan. The 8 year old is pretty sweet, even if he's a little on the wild side. Those two are going to be beating the crap out of each other very soon.

Was quite drunk upon returning to the apartment and probably stayed up too late with the husband. the end.

Saturday -- woke up too early, gathered the necessary crapola to take to GB and took off about 11am. Hung out with Jake's aunt and uncle on his dad's side (the youngest, coolest sister basically) and their three kids -- two of whom are teenagers. That was different also. Teenagers are just different. Was very tired and went to bed pretty early and slept like a log.

Sunday -- got up, still tired, feeling kind of sicky -- probably from deviled eggs, but they are so delicious! -- hung out and I was getting tired again. Ate a smaller dinner of ham (which I ate four bites and then had to give it up as a bad job), scallopped potatoes, which were altered with provolone cheese, making them taste....well, nothing really. Provolone is really mild. And finally green bean casserole. It was okay.

Opened presents before dinner, actually. Brookie got a Nintendo Wii for her gift and it is pretty much amazing. Very fun. I got a pink vest from Brooke (one that will NOT be stolen), pj's and a game from the in-laws, self-inflating mats from Josh and Kristine, some christmasy decor from Grandma Judy, and finally, a sewing machine! A new one! I'm pretty excited. It is definitely better than the old one and I will take MUCH better care of it. I just need a place to work. A good place to work. Hopefully when we have a house, we can find one with a space for me to set up a small sewing/crafting area with a nice sewing table and my chaise lounge chair that I bought for sitting and reading and cross stitching and stuff like that. I should attempt to re-make the upholstering with different, cooler, nicer fabric at some point. Slightly bigger screw-on legs would be nice too, so I could store boxes underneath. This project would take a LOT of planning.

So, I was excited about that, even if my lack of quiet/alone time recently makes me extremely tired. For those of you who really got to know me in the past year or so, I am not, by nature, a social person and it is completely draining for me to be "on" all the time, as I still feel most of the time when I am in GB. I get so tired being around people all the time. alksdjkfjasdlfj

Anyway, that is the front half of chritmas so far and there is more to come from my parents. I gave them a good list, so I am hoping that we do get some cool stuff. I know Jake is getting the new Zelda from my mom and I'm hoping that I get some good things. I don't even remember what I asked for, so it will probably be pretty sweet.

Anyway, I hope you all are having a wondering Chritmas, being chritmas eve and all. I hope that some of you will be back in the Eau C for New Year's so I get to see you (G.Nate, I am looking in your direction if you are around). If I don't see you, have a wondering Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Love
fosterak

Hmm. I'll have to see about that. Cities is just so much easier to get to.

I completely, 100%, absolutely know what you're talking about when you mention being "on" all the time.

I will be there on NYE. Also, my new phone is friggin' sweet.

And I got a digicam and a photo printer set?!?!? I didn't even ask for that stuff!

And now I'm watching some type of model-competition-documentary-reality show on "Oh!" (oxygen network).

Yeah, yeah, I know.

Also, NEW MICHAEL CRIGHTON BOOK ABOUT TRANSGENIC (no, not transGENDER) PETS!!! A;SLDKFJASFJWOEJ!
