My weekend

So, for all of you who are interested, this is my entry of this past weekend.

So, Josh comes down on Thursday to go to Jim's bachelor party with Jake and I just hang out all night by my lonesome. Which was acutally okay with me. :) I need a nice quiet night alone every once and awhile. They got back about midnight and then we all went to bed.

Friday: Woke up at 8:30, got ready for work and was sitting the kitchen/dining room area eating and hacking the web when Yakob called and said his class was cancelled. So, instead of leaving at 11 or 12, he left at 3. Dummy.

Went to work from 10 to 3:15 that day. Got back and found out that Yakkers had JUST left and was mildly irritated. Sat around watching Josh play Burnout 3 on Xbox and waited for Jake to get back from work.

At 6:30ish we went over to my parents and my dad made burgers for us. Yakob just drove straight to my parents house and we left his car there, because you can't park on the streets here in ole Tosa. Which sucks. A LOT. and there's no "guest parking" at the apartment, even though it is CLEAR that not all of the spots are taken. Grrr. AND, I would just like to point out that my parents have a sweet house (more than a sweet pad) in an okay neighborhood.
Hung out by the fire pit all night, until I got ridiculously crabby and I just wanted to go home and go to bed. I was SOOO tired and I wasn't feeling good. I felt bad, but I was just so tired.

Saturday:
Just hung out in the AM, and then needed to go to Walgreen's for wrapping paper, card, etc. for Jim and Loni's gift. So, Yakob and I went there AND to the Mall, where I found a sweet wrap to wear with my black dress, so I didn't look so black colored. Only $20 too. Then, I fixed myself up all pretty while Jake, Josh and Yakkers went to Kohl's for a belt. I also burned myself with the curling iron on the arm, so, I was a little crabby. They came back, we rushed around trying to get ready and then left. Jake drove real fast and we were in East Troy in 25 minutes. Ate at McDonalds, where we saw Jim at the ATM getting money for the musicians to pay them. I asked Mark and Jeff why Jim was there and that's what they said.

Played Bells at the ceremony, where the brass choir started too early (oops) and we sightread that MF and it was not pretty. I had that adrenaline rush thing where instead of it being a good thing, I just started shaking uncontrollably and I couldn't play. dur. Well, it was okay, because Sean and Paula had been practicing together, so they where going okay and the trombones would just stomp over everything whenever they had an entrance. sweet. And $20. more sweet.

Reception was good. Food was just okay for me -- except for those appetizers -- HOLY SHIT! Those mushrooms were freakin' amazing. I drank WAY WAY WAY too much wine and was completely trashed at the end of the night. oops. Drove back to the apartment and I pretty much passed out.

Sunday: Woke up and was drinking lots of water. I was actually feeling okay when I got up -- took ibuprofen and had water. Then, I started feeling worse and worse and Jake and Josh and Yakob left to get his car and go to breakfast with everyone and all of a sudden, there I was in the bathroom. oops. At least I felt better then. But, pretty much had a headache ALLL DAY. Just hung out, watched Serenity, Jack stopped by for 20 minutes on his way to Chicago, and watched more TV. Then, Jake and I went to Taco BELL and ate that. Then, I had to go to bed, because I was very tired again.

NOW! I need to go shower and get ready for work. Jake and I are going to US Bank today to open a coupld of new account and get his name added to things and such. I hope that it all works out okay.

That was more of a play by play instead of anything interesting, but maybe I'll be able to write more later. Had lots of good conversations that night.

Side note:
Oh, AND, I'm a kick ass horn player, and my absences from rehearsals for B&B have been approved by Mr. Boll himself. So, basically, go to hell if you have a problem with it.

Uh...it's actually called BATBeast. And so far it looks like none of the books are actually written for the instruments they indicate. My "trombone" book is actually a bass trombone/cello/tuba hybrid monster, but I get to play low stuff, which is good, I think.

Don't worry, you're not missing anything! :)
